Diogo Soares

I grew up watching my dad play basketball and I started learning it from him. At 8 years old I joined Imortal Basket Club and there I played for 10 years. I represented Portugal in U16s, U18s, and U20s, having made my professional debut at 16yo with the men’s senior team, in Portugal’s top league. Moved to the UK in 2020, played 3 seasons of NBLD1 with the Nottingham Hoods, as well as BUCS Prem with NTU.
Graduated in 2024 and moved to Sheffield where I joined the Arrows, and having been playing since. Outside basketball, I love comic books, manga and anime, video games and Lego.

Best thing about arrows:
The sense of family that the club has shown me, everyone knows everyone, regardless of age group, and help and encourage each other.
